Regional Professional Services Consultant in the CDRP department of Kaiser; a temporary position. Acted as a liaison between human resources departments of corporations and the Department of Transportation to facilitate their employees accessing benefits in the mental health and chemical dependency units at Kaiser, as well as to facilitate treatment planning and compliance.

Department of Social Services - Disability & Adult Programs

The Department of Social Services referred individuals for a psychological evaluation to determine if a psychiatric disability was present. The purpose of this evaluation was to assess any limitations in work, social functioning, daily activities and emotional or cognitive impairments. Methods employed were a complete history and mental status exam, a Wechsler Intelligence test, Wechsler Memory test, Bender Gestalt, Rey Memory test, and a written report

Family Court Services of Alameda County - Hayward, California

Externship in custody evaluation training program.  Received referrals from the mediators at Family Court Services for court ordered custody evaluations.  Evaluations included, assessing clients and addressing various issues for recommendations to the courts, including custody, visitation, and allegations of neglect or abuse; writing custody evaluation reports for submission to the court; and testifying in court when necessary.

Provider for MHN’s employee assistance program using a brief therapy model. Project manager involved in the research, design, development, creation and validation of a competency based behavioral assessment video to be used in the hiring of Public Safety Dispatchers from 1999 to 2000. Project manager for U.S. Customs from 2001 to 2002 involved in the research, design, development, creation, and validation of a competency based behavioral assessment video to be used in the hiring of U.S. Customs Inspectors and Canine Enforcement Officers.

Volunteered in the classroom and worked directly with the children. Emphasis on helping those children with difficulties in learning. Gained exposure to age appropriate behavior for school aged children.

Volunteered for 6 months in a group home for adolescent girls. Milieu Therapy was employed in this setting was involved in weekly consultations between therapists, the director and the intern supervisor. Had a wide exposure to issues of adolescent girls and their families ranging from adoption, sexual and physical abuse, chaotic dysfunctional families and rigid, high functioning families.
